For this color palette, we were inspired by Pantone’s 2013 color of the year: Emerald. The Emerald found here comes from The Winchester Tile Company’s Cosmopolitan tile in their Tourmaline color. The neutral grays in the Asian Statuary marble herringbone pattern by Cosa Marble and the Tinsmith paint color by Sherwin Williams allow the vivid emerald color to really shine. In turn, the deep emerald color helps to show off the beauty of the marble. The bronze light fixture from Rejuvenation picks up the some of the warm veins found in the Asian Statuary marble and finishes off this Classic look. We’re starting to see bronze elements arise as a design trend.
These materials could be used in a variety of applications. In a bathroom, for example, the Cosmopolitan tile can be used on the shower walls, while the marble could be used on the floor. A similar concept could be used for a powder bath, but the Cosmopolitan tile would be used on the backsplash. For a fireplace surround, the fireplace could be framed by the marble while the Cosmopolitan tile would be used for the rest of the surround. Samples of these tiles are available for viewing in our showroom.
